I've decided on SD (well, adviced, but my advice sticks..) as it was high on
AE stuff, and the availabiltiy of a good SD cam vs. a bad HD one, and the
amount of motion graphics was immense.
Since SD looks fairly good on my HD monitor, i thought i could get away with
it....
BUT.
The kiosk now has a nice LG monitor that does all flavours, sucks in all
ways.
The player is a solid state 'thing' that does not behave. (it does not plays
by the manufactures specs).
SD input sucks. Player can't do interlace.
So i thought to be smart, get a 720p @ 50 files by doing an AE trip.
(input 25 interlace, output 50 p progressive where each field becomes a
frame.)
Of course that can't be good, scaling 720 x 288 minus overscan margin to
1280 * 720, but what the heck...
End results are horrible...
How come i can play SD on my TVlogic quite nice, and not be able to get
anything work on a consumer set?
(and the ACG on the image is HORRIBLE, but i can't turn it off....)
Options are welcome...
