If you need to update and re-edit shows from old field masters then XDCAM
makes more sense than file based. Maybe it's just me but I'm always
concerned when all my material is on hard drives, even Raid 50 or any other
redundant raid flavor. It hasn't happed yet but I'm sure the day is coming
when I go to boot up in the morning and my data is gone. Not likely but like
the Saint's the unimaginable can happen... ;-)
