[Avid-L2] Re: 720 to 1080

What do you mean by preedited pieces? Are they on tape and you will be capturing them adding pulldown on capture? When I did a P2 ish show I worked in 720P 23.98 until ready to output. Then I created a 1080 23.98 timeine and cut the 720P into it for output to a 23.98Psf 1080 HDCamSr. I found it was faster to do whatever rendering was needed in 720P less space and quicker. Then just played it out from the 1080 timeline. Had to create the 1080 timeline to have a true 24 frame sequence that would match the code on the master tape. In 720P 23.98 the record timeline time code was still 30 frame based kinda like an NTSC 23.98 project is meant to output to 29.97 video. HTH
