Subject: [Avid-L2] Going Digital?
I don't know too much about digital but I have someone telling me at work that we should switch our equipment to digital.
Right now we have three cameras that go via S-cable to a Digital Panasonic Switcher and we record on tape. Then we edit in AVID MC.
I am reluctant to go ahead and move everything to digital. Everything will be saved in a server. Is not this risky?
What to do with the switcher? sell it? is not this an expensive leap to digital?
Any advice?
THANKS
