[Avid-L2] Mpeg 2 from MC

We want to automatically generate MPEG2's from avid sequences. This is
straightforward with third party software but we want them to be 601 gamut
legal. We could use an avid effect but then we would need to render and they
are long programmes and lots of them so this isn't practical. So I was
looking for a software encoder that has a "legaliser" filter or plugin that
would do this as it encodes. I looked at the common ones,
Squeeze/cleaner/main concept but none seem to do this.Anyone have any
suggestions?
