[Avid-L2] flat screen gotchas

With Black Friday looming there are many deals out there for LCDs and
Plasmas. I am finally putting in large client monitor most likely fed
from HDMI from MOJO DX. I know everyone has there favorite and we
have discussed many good ones to buy. But with so many choices I just
wondered if there are any red flags or "gotchas" to watch out for when
buying an LCD or Plasma or even LED monitor for client viewing. And
was the sync issue ever resolved or is that just something we all have
to figure out?
