Exactly right, Oliver. I've also had to budget out post on a few shows considering digital vs. film and the producers were stunned to learn that the monumental savings they assumed were awaiting them in the world of digital were modest at best and non-existent at worst.

Unfortunately I've seen plenty of digitally-originate d features lately that I thought looked substandard compared with film.

I've also run plenty of film and video budgets and can certainly generate a budget that shows either is the cheaper alternative.
