[Avid-L2] New Canon 1D Mark IV DSLR

Well, the holy grail I spoke of last week is getting closer, by degrees.

The new Canon camera isn't full frame, instead it utilizes a 1.3 crop, but
can shoot unbelievably in low light. "Usable video at up to ISO 6400." The
ISO maxes out at 102,400.

Be sure and check out *Nocturne*, the Vincent Laforet follow-up to *Reviere*.
Canon has asked that it be taken down from Vimeo for now, but you can still
see a small version of it on Stu Maschwitz's prolost.com/blog site.

Oh, and Canon has finally promised a firmware update for the 5D Mark II to
enable 24P and 25P, out by 2010:

I really hope Avid can jump up and lead the way for smart, efficient
workflows for these new cameras.

Regards,

Joe Womble
