[Avid-L2] Some interesting info Regarding Arri Luts and Legal vs Full Range(Extended)

Starting to scratch my head over these articles.  If I'm beginning to understand Arri's Lut generator the On Set tab seems to indicate that the Arri only generates legal level Log C where as the Post tab allows for Extended(Full Range) or Legal levels for the source material.  This new info is helping me understand why I see Varicam 35 Vlog LUT wants to have a full range to legal scaler before the Vlog LUT on Avid 8.5.3 where the Lut Scaler Code is not correct.  But in the case of Arri Mini embedded LUT wants a legal to full range before the log C to Rec 709 in there terms AML LUT.

This still leaves me in a quandry given they fixed the Avid LUT scaling in 8.6.2 to be like it should be and was in 8.4.x.  Does anyone know if the "AML" LUT that comes embedded in some Arri media is immune to Avid's scaling issues previously mentioned.  If the AML LUT acts like the other Avid LUTs then I would think no scaler would be needed before the LUT.  Just more confusion to an already dicey workflow that is constantly changing in my workflows.
