[Avid-L2] 2nd IronWold Seagate SSD has died/disappeared?

I've been running an Ironwolf SSD since about 18 months after I got my QNAP.  The first one died when I was switching startup disks and now the second one has died after about 4 months of use.  I partition the Ironwolfs with 3 separate containers and put a startup volume on each.  At the end of last week I Carbon Copy Cloned my startup to a spinning drive from the 1st SSD partition.  I then erased the 2nd and 3rd partition on the Iron wolf SSD and carbon copy cloned my new back up to the 2nd and third partition.  All went fine with no errors.  I shut down until today and once again the SSD has died/disappeared from the OS and Dick Utility.  When this happened the first time I put the SSD on to another iMac in a cradle and it chunked for a while and then said I needed to initialize it.  I did but it errored out at the end of the initialization saying it couldn't write to some block or sector.

I don't know if the erasing of one of the partitions is causing this or what.  When I did it all was well and I could see the newly erased volume on the desktop and I could see the Carbon Copy clone back worked.  It's like something in the master directory goes south.  I have my CCC backup so I can boot from it so I haven't lost anything but some time.  Can you recommend some Disk Warrior or some such software that might actually see the SSD now that Disk Utility/OS doesn't see it?  I'm running 10.14.6 OS and using Disk Utility.

If I could just reformat from scratch that would be okay but given the drive isn't recognized I'm stuck.

I think the Iron Wolf warranty is 3 years so it might still be covered but I'd like to learn what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it if possible and avoid in the future.
