Hi all,
I have a Media Composer dongle for sale, currently blasted at version 6. This could be upgraded to v.8 with the $299 upgrade option, for example.
Not sure what to ask, but a new license with the dongle option is around $1800, I believe, so having the dongle saves you around $1500. I'm open to reasonable offers.
I'm located in Montreal, but am happy to ship to the US or UK.
Contact me at vito (at) nosmallroles (dot) com
Thanks!

AMA Transcode Uses all the cores better, from my experience.
AMA & Transcode (not consolidate) is always far faster than import and fast import. I don't know why or understand the processes involved. Just have experience.

I just checked, and it does not.
AMA still thinks that the volume is empty AVCHD folder, and manually selecting the MP4 files yields the WRONG FORMAT slate.
MC 7.0.3 on Mac OS 10.8.5.

I had understood a "duplicate"was a completely separate and unique metadata asset. Is this not the case?

Maybe this is the problem?

Newscutter 9.5
Say I have a clip with the timecode copied (ctl+d etc) to aux timecode 1 (or any aux track)
If I duplicate the clip (in the bin or in Interplay Access), and modify the aux timecode on the duplicate - the aux tc on the original alters as well. As this process was part of a syncing attempt (long story) this is unwanted.
I had understood a "duplicate"was a completely separate and unique metadata asset. Is this not the case?

You mentioned "Mercury Transmit". Are your playback issues with the iOXT only in Premiere?
For color accuracy, you need to avoid computer displays...especially connected directly via Thunderbolt. Avid doesn't send out an accurate for color grading signal that way. You need a thunderbolt IO device, like that IoXT you have. That might have been a bum unit, because I have one too, use it with my macbook pro, and the system is very speedy. I see no different with or without it, performance wise. There are also the Decklink Ultrastudio mini monitor...or AJA T-Tap... And then an HDTV, or broadcast monitor.

Hi
If I want to rename the end portion of a bunch of clip names in a bin, is there a way to park my cursor in the middle of the clip name & then is there a shortcut key to delete EVERYTHING after where my cursor is parked to the end of the clip name?
