OK, as too often happens, after posting I solved my own problem.

A search on the net led me to Canon's Japanese site for the AMA plugin
-- v3.11. Installing that led to the below problems.

Canon's US site had v3.13 -- which when installed, resulted in
everything working as expected.

[Avid-L2] Linking CF Cards from Canon XF305/605

All,

I have been happily doing minor jobs in my retirement with 2024.10 and
now 2025.12.

A friend brought me some CF cards with HD footage from Canon's XF305 and
XF605 cameras. With earlier versions of Avid in the past, after
installing Canon's AMA plugin, I would select the card in the browser,
click Link and Avid would automatically stitch together all the 2gb
files and put an hour long lecture in one tidy clip into the bin.

Now if I select the card, nothing happens. If I select the CONTENTS
folder, all the clips come in linked to each 2gb partial clip.

What's going on with the newer MC? Is there no way to get it to
automatically stitch all the little files into one hour long clip?

Any help appreciated!!
