I was told once that the quiznos there (Also owned by the owner of Kappa) was the highest grossing in the chain.
If this is true, it would have me converting the space also.

Re: [Avid-L2] Re: MC5 on MacBook Pro fails to launch
Further to this - I run MC on a MacBook Pro which I put to sleep when I'm done editing (or whatever). If I keep it awake, it seems I can launch and quit Media Composer multiple times with no problems. It seems to only be after I put the MacBook Pro to sleep, wake it up and then try to launch Media Composer. This is when it hangs at the point of initialising audio plugins. Can someone else try this please? TIA.

[Avid-L2] Re: Failure to capture, Mac, Mc 5.0.3.x
Further testing after previous message . . . even though my 'Pro' Sony DSR45P DVCAM deck fails to capture most of the time, requiring a Force Quit, my little consumer-level Sony DCR-PC5E DV camera works absolutely fine with my MacBook Pro/ OS 10.6.5 / MC 5.0.3.7 combo. WTF?
The DSR45P works fine with FCP on this machine with OS 10.6.5 / MC 5.0.3.7. Also, on the same machine, I have a partition with OS 10.5.8 and MC 4.0.5.11. The DSR 45P works fine with that combination. So - it looks like something is different in MC5.x in terms of Firewire control.
Anybody?
With best wishes.

I think they are still there, but they appear to have converted the offices
along Hollywood Way into retail space, a la Quizno's on the Magnolia side.
I guess they figure that they can get more income from that square footage
leasing it as shops rather than as production offices. Just a guess based
on the construction I saw going on there a few weeks ago.

Some RTAS plug-ins aren't, in fact, properly compliant with the spec, so they'll work in Pro Tools, but not MC. Avid doesn't test every plug-in out there, leaving it up to the individual developers to test their product in MC5.

[Avid-L2] Failure to capture, Mac, Mc 5.0.3.x
Another problem . . . Upgraded to Mc 5.0.3.7 recently but hadn't needed to capture via Firewire on any version of MC5 until today. I can't capture more than one or two clips before I get 'Exception: std::exception, what" "Bus error" in thread "AlertableTimer", at address 0x0'. Mostly after capturing from In-Out rather than on-the-fly. MacBookPro 3GB RAM, OS 10.6.5. Tried on another McBookPro (4GB RAM, 10.6.5, Mc 3.0.3.5). Same problem. Unusable. Using a Sony DSR45P deck in a PAL project. Done the usual. Trashed settings, new project, new user etc. I will now try with a couple of DV cameras to see if it works. Anyone?
With best wishes.

Hi all, and happy new year !

I'd like to share this app with you because I use it everyday to sync my
keyboards, templates, effect bins, create validation link and so on...
And once you register and install Dropbox, we'll both get free extra space.
