Got some media shot on Arri Mini. Links into Avid MC 8.5.3 fine but I noticed there are no audio tracks. The shoot had second system audio but not even a camera mic for some sync help? I get that a lot of times they don't have the time to feed mixer audio back to the cameras but even a cam mic helps. Oh well I didn't realize you can shoot video only without any audio tracks at all. Even if the audio tracks had no information I would think there would be at least a couple of tracks on the clip when ama linked but all I see is V1.
I never get on the business end of cameras these days. Can someone confirm it is possible that an Arri Mini could record prores 4444 clips that have no audio tracks? I'm hoping this is the case and there isn't something whacky going on with the Avid linking. We've done plenty of Arri work in the past but of late mostly Varicam 35.
