I think 96fps is probably about as good as you are going to get. In my experience Resolve is the fastest renderer that I typically use. I've done transcodes on a Fibre Channel SAN and an internal RAID-0 stripe and haven't seen anything faster. You definitely won't get anything faster with Avid's transcode.
