[Avid-L2] Consolidation Strategy

Are there any limitations on how many sequences or how much media Avid can consolidate in one batch?

I have 90 minute documentary with numerous versions for different markets and screenings, plus many shorter videos that are spun-off from the full program with additional media that did not make the 90 min. cut. Literally dozens of sequences in several different projects that share the same media plus other media unique to each one. The Avid MediaFiles reside on 5 different drives on my system, including an 8TB external.

We want to move all the essential media for these sequences to the 8TB for long-term storage and continued access.  The original 90 minute sequence -- grand-daddy to the many offspring -- already had consolidated media, so we don't necessarily have to consolidate original master clips just to save space, but there are still many unused clips and precomputes we don't need anymore.   (Original camera files are backed up elsewhere.)

My plan is to first create a new project that holds all of the timelines we want to save, put all those sequences into one bin, select them all and consolidate to the 8TB, skipping media already on that drive.  But before I pull the trigger on a process that may take days to finish (dozens of timelines totaling more than 15 hours) is there any limitation or gotcha I should be concerned with?

Thanks for your expert advice!
