HI John,
The card is based on the machine you buy , http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/imac. This is a review of the mac fusion drive on a mac mini, http://www.macrumors.com/2012/11/09/apples-fusion-drive-faster-performance-in-a-simple-consumer-focused-package/.
Best Wishes,

Subject: [Avid-L2] New iMacs for editing etc.. 21 vs 27 Hard Drive 5400 vs 7200 vs Fusion?
Looking into a new iMac that are coming available and I notice the 1TB hard drive for the 21 inch is only 5400 rpm. Only the 27 inch offers a 7200 rpm drive. Both offer fusion drives but I don't see an SSD option at the apple store. I like the form of the 21 inch but at 5400 HD it makes the fusion drive more attractive. I'm assuming the fusion drive will outperform a 7200 rpm drive anyways. The listed graphics ar Nvidia GeForce GT-640M and a GeForce GT-650M both with 512 MB. I don't see in the configure your iMac section a choice between the two cards. Does this mean the iMac has both cards? I know my MBP has two cards for the less power hungry display to save battery but I don't recall iMacs having two cards am I confused here is it a choice between graphics cards or are they both included standard? Any suggestions on configuration would be appreciated for an iMac to be used with Avid etc...... for offline editing and perhaps more down
the line. I figure I'll go for the faster processor and 16 gig of ram as it is my understanding the new design pretty much negates adding ram etc.... after the fact as the design is not at all user friendly for additions and modifications after the fact.
