Re: [Avid-L2] Dual-Monitor DVI KVM

I tried a StarTech SV431DVIDDU a while back.

http://www.startech.com/product/SV431DVIDDU-4-Port-StarView-Dual-DVI-USB-KVM-Switch-with-Audio

I can't remember exactly what the problem was, but it was more troublesome then just using the separate inputs on the back of my Dell monitors. I only have 3 CPUs to attach, so between the 2 DVI and 1 HDMI on each monitor I'm ok.

I did look at the Gefen DVI switches. You will need to make sure that you get one that supports EDID memory. Or get the Gefen DVI Detective. Or when you switch away from a CPU it will forget that it's dual monitor and shove all your windows onto a single monitor space.

Haven't tried the Black Box yet.
