[Avid-L2] Re: handheld RED footage looks soft -- common complaint?

 

Don't forget although the RED sensor is 4k pixels it's only single chip not 3 chip so that debeyering effort is needed to interpolated the true RGB pixel values for pixels that are either just R, G or B
That works quite well for static images but when movement happens you can't rely on the temporal information.
