[Avid-L2] Re: 24p in LCD

I would like to mention that the 24p issue is for screen equipped with HDMI connections, therefore it is by definition a Full HD issue. I cut most of my features now in DNXHD36 at 24p 1080 that is shot natively at 24p. For the SD 24p projects, the Avid assumes that source is tape therefore a compensating pulldown is applied. This is no problem for the monitor as the signal is in either PAL or NTSC. I am purely talking about native 24p projects that come from the RED etc or HDCAM SR.
Lastly, there has been alot of debate concerning if 24p monitors are really 24p or 23.98. The panasonics full HD LCD monitors i have used in the past stated that they were true 24p and I have no reason not to doubt them
