Re: [Avid-L2] OT: Simple Windows editor?

Roger,
Get Edius or Edius Neo.
Dirt cheap, Edius including a HD output card (SDI) is less than 1 k USD.
it's easy, it's fast, good, eats anything (except Avid files), on the fly
transcoding, the works.
It even eats FCP XML (that was nice, so now my subtitler is compatible with
Edius as well)

(i've set up a broadcaster over here that does EVERYTHING with just two
Edius sets, one copy of Procoder, one copy of Subbits, Mpeg streamclip and a
database.
It took a lot of time convincing them to also add a simple firewire to
analogue converter and a (consumer) client monitor...)

There is a free 30 day demo. Do toy with it.
