etc... there's no way to be specific.
However, setting up a machine for remote access is usually quite low
risk for the same reason Mac is safer than Windows -- nobody cares.
Most malicious attacks are "mass" attacks with a very, very low cost
to benefit ratio. Hacking Remote Access is a one-at-a-time affair
with a very low payoff unless the victim has something of real value,
that is, it's extremely hight cost to benefit ratio. So nobody does
it unless there is a very high payoff. In other words, unless you are
a bank, or a sensitive government installation, the odds of anyone
even bothering to try to break into your remote access is probably
close to zero.
My only advice would be to use a decent password and keep the password
secure. Password insecurity is the biggest threat to almost
everything having to do with computers since your biggest threat is
people you know or work with snooping around your stuff.
