How do you plan on distributing it to your family members. I have used private password protected uploads to my vimeo account and they can watch or download from there. Another option might be dropbox. Or if you want to give them physical media you could burn dvd's or give them thumb drives.

I will be keeping both the DV tapes and the original DV files captured via firewire, but I need to make smaller COPIES to distribute to family members... so bearing that in mind, do you have suggestions for a list of settings as per original post?
