It has happened intermittently but quite often (MC 2018.12) for a long time. But recently, it became a chronic problem with one particularly project. And, it started happening when you first opened the project and the timeline was loading. This locked me out of the project. I could open a new project, import the bin from the old project, and as soon as I tried to open the sequence in that bin, it would immediately "Quit Unexpectedly" and lock me out of the new project as well. Avid Support took contol of my computer, generated tech information that I uploaded to them and we traded emails for almost 3 weeks about this problem. On a whim, I sent the "bad" project to a colleague who has an Avid -- it opened fine on his system and the sequence played fine. I then asked him to send the same project back to me -- I loaded it and the "Quit Unexepectedly" did not happen on my system! Something in a master clip in that sequence must have been doing it (it wasn't media because it would Quit Unexepectedly even with the media offline) and somehow running thru his system miraculously fixed the issue. Do you believe in miracles?
