Thanks J.B.
After my initial post I went back to see if I could improve my Google-Fu,
and I did finally find this: https://burgercamera.com/avid-media-composer-2020-4-update/
Media Composer v2020.4 Update New Features
- (Windows) drive:\Users\Public\Documents\Avid Media Composer
- (macOS) /Users/Shared/AvidMediaComposer
I think this is now an _additional_ location on the internal _system_ drive for the Avid MediaFiles folder. I was aware that there had been this change/addition on a Mac in order to contend with Catalina, but I was not aware of the change on the PC side (since I work 99% on Mac). So, I was a bit thrown.
Thanks for your help!
Cheers,
Benjamin

Please Help confirm:
Location of Avid MediaFiles folder on Windows 10 Internal Drive
Hi gang!
Mac user here, and I'm getting conflicting information about the proper
location on the INTERNAL HD of a Windows 10 system for the Avid
MediaFiles folder.
I would have thought it was at the root level of the c\ drive, but I'm
also getting
word that it is supposed to go in this path:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\Avid Media Composer\Avid MediaFiles
So, any experts out there able to chime in with the definitive answer?
I appreciate the help!
We're just about to create a Deep Freeze image that will be deployed
to about 50 systems . . .
so I'd hate to screw it up! ;)
Thanks again!
