BUT, the fact that the QT framework has gone has little to do with .mov files being supported or not.
Just the fun stuff will be problematic. (Like QT ref, Motion (which is XML in .mov), trimmed files etc.)
Plain audio / video / timecode (reelname is afaik still not supported) 'should' not be a problem, as that is relative simple to extract.
