My output/export settings specify 24bit audio on the render (PCM). If I open the resulting audio files (MXF) in VLC they are listed as being 32bit instead of the expected 24bit, as the settings specify.
For the timeline, when I make the Audio Bit Depth column visible in the Media workspace I can see the bit depth for the Poly BWF audio I brought in is 24bit. But after I sync the audio to picture and make a timeline out of it, the timeline indicates that it's 32bit when I look at it in the Media workspace in Resolve.
And I can't figure out how to make the change to the timeline.

And that implies only effects I presume. Then, on export, if the target format should have 32 bits audio conform specs, it makes sense that 8 bits are added. On 23 Jun 2019, at 07:23, Jay Mahavier jay_mahavier@icloud.com [Avid-L2] <Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com> wrote:I import my audio and it's 24bit. Thank you for any help.
