[Avid-L2] UPDATE: Re: Not Working: PhraseFind & Script Sync v2.0

For anyone that might be following along,
my issue is actually a known bug that is already being addressed:

Thank you for contacting Avid Customer Care.
This defect has now been logged as a bug. Bug number: MCCET-2826 No Language options in PhraseFind and ScriptSync on Mac (Phonetic Index is unavailable.) We are having issues with PhraseFind and Scriptsync with the latest version.. In the meantime, please use the version before MC 2018.12.1 which is MC 2018.12 that did not have this problem.

Hi Gang,

I was just provided with Activation Codes for PhraseFind (PF), ScriptSync (SS), and Symphony to add to my standard MC installation (18..12.1).

Symphony is working (well, at least the toolset is displaying; I haven't actually worked with it yet) but PS and SS are not. I feel like I must be missing something easy . . .

I don't recall having to install PS & PF in the recent past. IIRC, all I did was Activate them. Avid Link states "N/A" in the "Installed" display area. But, just to make sure, I went to the Download Center to see if there was PS & SS v2.0 to download; nope, just v1 (from 2011).

Both Avid Link and MC recognize that PS & SS are activated, but neither are working (no PS indexing in the Find Window, and SS is greyed-out). I also checked Mac's Activity Monitor and searched for "avid" and then for "phone" (as in PhoneticIndexer) and I don't see anything running that relates to them.

Am I missing something (beyond trashing MCState and Shutdown/Restart)? I haven't tried reinstalling MC yet… thought I'd check-in with the hive mind first.

Additional, Somewhat Related Question:
Am I correct that there is an MC Console Command that will display all the System Info (including when the MC installation expires)? I used 'HelpCommands' to check, but nothing jumped out at me. Anyone know the command?

Thanks for any insights and/or pointers!

Cheers,
Benjamin
