I have a problem in which the original Alexa camera file names are only in the Camroll column of the bins, and therefore can't be seen and referenced when making EDLs (or AAFs). Or can it?
When I try to make EDLs I only get the Name column — the shot numbering entered later after transcode — but it can't point to the Camroll column to use the actual Alexa file names. Is there a way to force the List Tool to use the Camroll column when creating the EDL?
Or is there an easy way to copy an entire column, such as the Camroll column into the Name column, thereby simply replacing all the shot naming with the Camroll info (the Alexa camera file names) instead?
The assistant editor apparently used Resolve for transcode and sync, and somehow managed to not put anything in the Source File column either, so I'm having a real struggle in trying to get an EDL and AAF that will make sense to the Conform guy whom I will soon turn the show over to.
Any help?
