At regular intervals, I review the Media Composer updates and compile a (subjective) summary of the important new features for Editors. I found many of my friends and clients did not read the Release notes every month and had missed the introduction of many new features. If your interested, this document can be found at:

I can always use some advice. For example, I could not get BWF iXML Metadata to display in Media Composer (2018.4), and the premultiplied support for Matte Key (2018.1) just would not work at all as advertised. If anybody has advice or guidance I would love to hear from you.
I am always willing to make things better - if you find any errors, have any advice or new information please let me know. I will make revisions as suggestions come in. I would like this to be a good resource for the community.
