[Avid-L2] Seeking advice to maximizie my MacPro (Mid 2010) Avid system

Dear Avid-L2 friends,

I am currently running MC v 8.94 on my MacPro (Mid 2010) OS 10.13.6. In the recent past I upgraded the processor on the MacPro to 12 core 3.46GHz.

I would like to bring the Media Composer software up to date with the appropriate Mac OS, but I am unable to find useful info on the Avid site when referencing the latest "Qualified Apple Mac Systems for Media Composer 2018.8".

I know anectdotally that many Avid editors are squeezing useful life out of their "cheese graters". I am hoping someone here can let me know the limit to how far I can upgrade my Avid MC software. Alternately if anyone is aware of an unofficial Avid compatibility grid that takes in the various combinations of Mac hardware, OS and Media Composer versions.

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.
Richard
