Open your Font Book and install the new TTF there. I believe the Avid only looks in /Library/Fonts and Users/(Username)/Library/Fonts.

There are several places Mac stores fonts, and I have tried installing in all locations. At least on a PC there is only one folder.Still no dice. After reinstalling, etc. I have just gone into AEor Photoshop, where fonts are accepted. On Jul 23, 2018, at 3:36 PM, Lou Wirth loutv@mindspring.com [Avid-L2] <Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com> wrote:Anyone know how Avid chooses the fonts it will see in title tool? For years I have come across situations where client wants a font and Avid won't see it even though its in my system. OTF and TTF both. But the Avid title tool does not list it. Why is this and where does avid look for fonts in a Mac system? Its the only creative app I know that does not use all the fonts in your computer.
Verdana is a common font in all Macs for sure. Yet my MC can not see it and I have both .otf and .ttf. Of course this is the clients chosen font..LouChip Hess
