I just tried modifying the sequence while still in the 25 frame project to convert it to 30 Frame and the behavior is the same when I recreate the resulting sequence in the 30 frame project.

I'm working on a live show roll in package and some of the material came in as 25Fps. We are tweaking the edit and I've stayed in a 25 frame project 50I HD 1080. I make a mixdown in the 25 Fr project and cut it into an upper track. I copy the sequence into a 30 frame project/ 59.94I 1080 and all is well. I discovered when redoing a slate that when I recreate the title in the 30 Fr project the result is much larger in font size. I'd guess it's going from 44 points in the 25 frame project to about 52 points when recreated in the 30 Fr project. In both projects the point size is listed as 44 but the fonts are much bigger when recreated in the 30 Fr project.
If I don't recreate the titles they stay the same size they appeared in the 25 frame project and match what is in the mixdown. Very strange. I created new virgin projects with just one title and I see the same behavior. I see that there is a temporal adapter being applied to the titles when it converts the sequence to 30 Frame. I had thought titles knew how to just convert to the new frame rate. In previous versions I would modify the format to 30 while in the 25 frame project. Perhaps that might change things but IIRC in previous versions you couldn't modify the sequence format if there matte keys and I don't recall if that included title tool. Now it appears you don't have to modify it before leaving the 25 frame project but the resizing is a big problem.
I'm on Mac OS 10.10.5 Avid MC 8_9_4 with symphony option. Anybody else seen this quirk?
