RE: [Avid-L2] My current Avid support failure

 

Lemme know how it goes.  I have yet to make this work after several tries.  The documentation says to do some Windows updates but that has not solved the problem for me so far.

(I'm upgrading our Win7 system to 8.8.1.)

Me: The Pace installer is failing to finish it's installation process.

Them: Go to services and make sure the Pace service is running.

Me: The Pace service is not installed because the Pace installer is failing to finish.

Them: Ah, ok, so install the Pace services.

Me: ….. ….. …..

Me: You should give this case to someone else.

Them: We should talk about this more.

This is the abbreviated version, but it pretty much captures the ridiculousness of it all.
