For a few months I've been noticing that audio scrub seems to turn itself on in Avid. I don't usually work with caps lock on but for a few months it keeps turning on. At first I thought the behavior was happening when I hit enter on a numeric keypad I add to set on my wacom tablet. I've been using this keypad for years so something new has happened. This is on a Mac Pro Tower mid 2010 OS 10.9.5 upgraded to 12 Core 3.33GHz 24 GB ram MC 8.5.2 with NitrisDX hardware.
Today the caps lock behavior started and I've never touched the keypad today. I did notice the behavior started after changing credits which are new blue titler 2.0. I quit the New Blue Application manager and restarted Avid but every time I went from desktop back to Avid the Caps Lock turned on. Then a complete restart and Avid is now behaving with no capslock turning on when I tap desktop back to Avid. Still in the same project so it's not that.
I am now thinking when I launch New Blue Titler something changes under the hood that is causing the caps lock turning on every time I switch back to Avid from desktop. It may happen when I switch back to Avid from any app but for sure when going from desktop to Avid. Turning off caps lock while in Avid deactivates Audio Scrub but going back to desktop and back to Avid and Caps Lock and audio scrub turn back on. Very annoying. Anybody seen this whackyness? It is only trough dumb luck that today I hadn't used my additional keypad so New Blue seems to be the culprit.
I would really like to take New Blue Titler and Stuff it into an Avid Turducken involving the 6 Million Dollar Man and some of the other Cooperate Giblets that took away Title Tool in 4K.
