Re: [Avid-L2] Mic into MC ?

I got a Shure mic pre with A/D into USB. It's easy enough to use, but you do have to turn off video hardware in MC to get it to show up in capture tool.

Hi there

We have quite a few avids with IO cards/boxes that don't have mic level analogue audio inputs but only SDI . What is a good work around  for this?

We don't really want to switch off the IO hardware to use the windows mixer but also we don't want to use lots of boxes to do this… Currently we are using a black generator – Analogue embedder and mic to line level convertor to do this which is very inelegant.

Is there a way to have multiple audio input devices listed in the capture tool?

A Digi beta deck isn't bad except we still have to switch the project to SD.

Simple elegant solutions wanted!
