That would make sense if it's rendered the secondary correction is baked in.  Once unrendered there is no secondary correction.  I can't recall if channel blending stuck or not back in my tests from past.

Unless something has changed in recent releases, if you render the CC in
Symphony it will play in MC. That includes secondaries. If it comes
un-rendered, it needs to go back to Symphony. I can't remember for sure
but I think the same might apply to channel blending.
