Re: [Avid-L2] permissions and segmentation fault issue

Hi Steve,

I have an issue transferring files from my iMAC to Macbook Pro.  Files get marked as read only and I have to change permissions to open these documents on the laptop. You may have to change permissions at the file level.

I also have issues with a Lacie Big5 Thunderbolt 2 array and Avid if Avid is open and my computer goes to sleep.  When I wake it up I get an error in a dialog box.  If I try to click OK, it just dings at me.  If I move the dialog box I can then click on the OK button to close it.  I usually restart Avid after that happens.  When it happens again, I will report it.

Hope this helps.

Paul

Subject: [Avid-L2] permissions and segmentation fault issue

I have a LaCie Thunderbolt drive that I've put a bunch of Sony F5 footage on - transferred using ShotPutPro. The drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Everyone has read and write permission and Ignore Ownership on the drive is checked.

Media Composer does not see it as a drive that can be written to. When I launch MC it tries to automatically show me the media on the drive in the bin as AMA, but if I click on any of the AMA clips I get a segmentation error and MC crashes.

Thoughts?
