Resolve works internally in 32bit float thus preserving the whole range of source clips.
Internal scopes are patched to this internal representation and cannot be changed.
Selecting video levels at the output clips the range to 64-940(Y)/64-960(Cb, Cr), so the below black and above white do not show up.

Am I the only one who thinks the 'video levels' setting is unusable in
Resolve 12 (Win)
If I switch to video levels, it's not possible to output high levels to the
client monitor.
However, the scopes show full level at save output, thus rendering them
kinda useless.
Or am I missing something?
Another strange issue: If I turn On 'show illegal levels' (or whatever it is
called), the ugly colors indicating the problem areas are reflected in the
scopes as well.
Shouldn't the scopes be patched pre-illegal filter?
