RE: [Avid-L2] Nvidia + Windows + Avid = boot to the left screen?

Should have mentioned PC.  I guess I thought that was implied by the Nvidia.  I agree that Windoz is F'd up when it comes to monitor placement.  But there's got to be a recipe to make it work right.

That is all OS stuff, not Avid stuff.

You can have any monitor on any side. On Mac, you can have them on top of each other if you want.

I think you need to check your display preferences if you're on Mac.

I just had a co-editor edit an entire feature film with his monitors reversed from mine. Worked like a charm.

So this has confused me since I first started installing Avid systems.

I understand that Avid wants to see monitor #1 as primary and on the left.  And I understand that the monitors need to be in a straight line.

But what I do not understand is how I can swap cables and the location of the monitor NOT CHANGE.

Or in tonight's exciting edition, monitor #1 is primary and on the left and yet Avid STILL boots to the right hand monitor.

Maybe I'm just not that bright, but it seems in 2015 we should have this buttoned up.

Is there some Nvidia super-secret setting that I am missing out on?

TIA,
