That's would probably work. I used comments because you can actually SEE them in the timeline. With Markers, you'd just see a dot. Every clip would have a dot. You could FIND those dots using Find command, but you can't SEE the content of the Markers in the timeline without actually clicking on the marker. With the comments in the timeline (Clip Text set to Comment and Add Comment added to a keystroke) you can identify any clip in the timeline by its Comment.


I think my feature request after all this would just be that the comments in the timeline had a way to make it to the bin. Then everything else is already in place.

Yep, I think if they just made Comments searchable by the Find function, you'd be set, right?
Hmmmm… though I seem to remember "Clip Text" being searchable (with 'Find') in the Timeline. 
Again, I have to check in a bit to see if my memory is right.
