Inside Avid a column called "Comments" it's not the same as "COMMENTS", the later is treated as a custom metadata column and the other as a standard Avid column. The thing I'd that Resolve is not whiting the correct metadata in the files. If you want to access to that metadata, you can duplicate it to the "Avid Comments" column and delete the custom COMMENTS column.
Does this makes any sense?

After processing Avid DNX 175X from Arri Amira camera I create an avidmediafiles folder and let Avid create a database. I drag the database file into a bin and it populates with clips and columns of my normal layout. The last column is labeled "Comments" and it says "Created By Resolve" for each of the clips. This makes perfect sense but then if I uncheck the Column "COMMENTS" in the choose columns dialogue box the "Created By Resolve" column disappears. Again that makes sense but if I then recheck the "COMMENTS" to redisplay the column a blank column appears with the heading "COMMENTS" all Caps and it is empty. Am I missing how to access custom columns here? If unchecking makes it go away rechecking should bring it back, right? If I go back and redrag in the mediadatabase the "Created By Resolve" "Comments" column reappears. WTF?I'm on SNDX 5.5.5 mac OS 10.6.8Now after typing this up I go back to a bin and right click on the headings area and click on choose columns and this time I see both COMMENTS and Comments as choices. Clicking the upper lower version brings back the Resolve message. This all happened after I created a new bin and redragged in the media data base I wonder if that restored the "Comments" choice. Acting weird today. ;-(
