can't test that.
I'm on Win as well, MC up to 6.03 did not have this behaviour.
Just tested with 8.3, and it also behaves as expected.
Meaning, Monitor is NOT important, selected tracks is, if in combo with 'selected tracks' checked.

MC 7.04 w/Symphony; Win 7

SAS, "Enabled Tracks" not selected
V4 monitored, exported file reflects sequence monitoring.

Just this morning I exported a sequence, then discovered that the top key was not on the exported file.
Checked my sequence and found the monitoring set on V2 not V5. Re-exported with setting monitoring to top track fixed it.

eeh, afaik, it's about ENABLED tracks, not MONITORED tracks...
And, 'use all tracks'  IS an option...

A feature request to save me from my own stupidity:

In the Export dialog, I'd like to have a checkboxes for "Export All Video Tracks" and "Export All Audio Tracks"
Because twice in the last week I've had to re-export sequences that weren't set to monitor the top video track.
