Seems like Avid is EVERYWHERE but in it's own WEB STORE!
I've been trying to upgrade 7 dongle driven versions of 7.0.3's to the new versions since Dec 22nd in vain.
For some reason I was only able to buy one upgrade on the website. Even Marianna can't get these people to make it function like an online store.
I don't want a phone call from someone at the store, I want to get something in WRITING that states;
I have trying since Dec 22nd to buy their product, and I will NOT be charged a $6 thousand dollar penalty for Avid's sales incompetence!
Inexcusable.
I'm very upset. Inexcusable.

Could happen. I just got off the phone with them and was told if the updater files fail to work with your release, phone in a case and they will generate you a custom updater to blast the dongle.
To continue my upgrade adventure, there are now 6 valid MC system ID's are all "on hold" and my current working MC6.0 dongle can't be validated at all cuz some clown in finland just used MY system ID to upgrade HIS system. Now I have to present documentation to Avid that the thing belongs to me- even though I have the only physical dongle, Avid sent it directly to me and it's been registered and running for the last 3 years..RTJust bought two activations. Had to do it through my company - though the dongles were bought by me as an individual years ago. Got the updates show up in my cie account, could update both dongles, get a download link to 8.3 and download the updaters. Now my dongles are up to 8.0. And both won't run 8.3...
Is that because the year of support we just bought needs to be validated by Avid?
