J, hi
The reason I test lightworks was for educational purpose. I just import a couple of clips in MC 8 (ProRes from a blackmagic pocket), import the sound and synced it, made a roughcut, export the aaf with "link" option, and opened in lightworks. There was any kind of problem and could continue editing that in lightworks.
I didn't test back to Avid, but I could do it and tell what happen.
bin/galleries, I don't remember what happen with that in lightworks after I import the AAF, but I could do it again and tell u.
See ya!

Hi Dario,Thanks. There's a few points I'm really wondering about:- in which application do you sync sound and picture, and how do you get both applications to see those synced clips in bins/galleries?- could you work on a sequence in MC, move it to LW, move it back to MC just with linked AAF's?- did they use Avid for input and output and for exchange with VFX, Lightworks for editing?
