If you've got a locked picture and no longer need the groups then commit multicam edits and move the .nogroups sequence to a fresh bin. If it's getting a dub then mixdown the audio and work with the mixdowns. Maybe this will reduce the item count?

I saw those figures and wondered if it is programming or OS thing. 32,*** rang a bell.
32,768 is 2*2*2 . . 2 to the power of 14, I think . . . it works for you when less than 32,768 but not more . . . have you hit some limit?

I'm on season 5 of a series I've virtually never seen the ability not to save the bin because of too many items in bin. Offline is having problems trying to save the entire show so they have had to break it in parts. I'm surprised because it is not a particularly complex show. We've had way more effecty shows in the past. In online I'm fine once I delete the audio. I'm doing some trouble shooting and when I combine the two show parts maintaining all the tracks including audio I get an error that I need to remove 67 items. I deleted 4 tracks of audio on one of the halves of the show and the bin saves. Here is what the bin initial show with bin info:Total Items in bin (including hidden): 32833Total links in bin: 162424Once I deleted the 4 audio tracks the numbers changed to:Total Items in bin (including hidden): 32714Total links in bin: 162160Then the bin will saveWhat are the limits to item and link count? Also what does Avid consider an "Item" and a "link"? I think I understand the terms but perhaps I don't know. To me an item would be a clip and a link would be the pointers of the clip tothe media, but I'm just guessing. In my trouble shooting I don't have the offline media online so I don't know if that would effect the item count numbers. I'm also wondering if the sequences which are made up of a lot of multigroup clips are suffering because perhaps something changed in the way things are grouped. We have are usual groupers and media sources so I don't know what might have changed if anything. We are on mac os 10.6.8 Ver. 5.5.x This was the same last season. Anything stand out to anyone?
