I haven't had problems linking to spanned clips. But there is a bug where if you apply a LUT to a spanned clip's source settings and bake those settings into your transcode, it will only apply the LUT to the first part of the spanned clip. How can they let this kind of thing fall through the cracks? This was one of the features that we were looking forward to using when upgrading to MC7, but now it's useless to us. Even worse, if you transcode the clip without baking in the LUT (persisting the effect), you'll get the color on all of the clips, but you'll only be able to see the first section of your multigroups, even though Avid knows that the multigroup is longer than what it's showing... The hell?

Just want to add that the AMA link for C300 can be a bit touchyand problematic. The Camera creates its own MXF files - single file, audio and video IF audio is going to the camera - and it ALSO splits long takes into separate files -all in the SAME folder. I've noticed that MC AMA of the folder - Individually oras a Volume link - will ONLY LINK to the FIRST CLIP in each folder - so it isa good idea to check root folders to make sure you're seeing all the footage.
