[Avid-L2] Re: True peak audio limiter

 

Try to consider it this way.
Plot on some graphpaper digital samples of value. 0,128,255,255,128,0
Assuming just 8 bit that would be a 0db peak. But pencil in the actual waveform and beyween the 255 ,255 samples it has to be higher. The digital signal isn't clipped but potentially the analogue conversion could be. Thats what the true peak value represents.
