Promises, promises.  It will work in 8.0 because 8.0 is essentially the same as 7.0.4 except for the activation routines.  I would not count on it continuing to work as 8.x is upgraded.

It's moot in any case, isn't it?  Avid FX is replaced by Boris BCC 8, which is essentially the same product, yes?
