Good that it's working. When you say, "I didn't update the software after the 9.9.3 downgrade because it didn't make sense." What software didn't you update? Are you referring to Avid or the video desktop. As I've previously mentioned in my experience the BMD video desktop must be uninstalled and reinstalled after Avid is installed and this is true when you update Avid you must uninstall BMD and reinstall it even if it's the same version of video desktop.
